Get Your Jingle on for the Holidays!

Get Your Jingle on for the Holidays! A detailed list of what to do while planning your company Christmas party.

The holidays are upon us and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to start planning your company Christmas party! Whether you’re looking to host a small gathering or a large event, we’ve got you covered with this handy guide.

1. Set a Date and Time

One of the first things you’ll need to do when planning your company Christmas party is to set a date and time. Keep in mind that many people will already have prior engagements during the holiday season, so it’s important to choose a date and time that works for everyone. Once you’ve settled on a date, be sure to send out save-the-dates so people can clear their schedules in advance.

2. Choose a Venue

The next step is to choose a venue for your party. If you’re opting for a small gathering, you may be able to host the event at your office space or restaurant down the street. However, if you’re expecting a larger crowd, you may need to look into renting out a banquet hall or restaurant party room. No matter what size event you’re planning, be sure to book your venue well in advance to secure the best rate. Taxi’s Catering and Party Room. Email Matt Catering@restaurantsinc.net

3. Make a Guest List

The next thing you’ll need to do is make a guest list. This may seem like a no-brainer, but it’s important to get an accurate headcount so you can plan accordingly. Once you have your guest list finalized, be sure to send out invitations (physical or digital) at least 4-6 weeks in advance. This will give people plenty of time to RSVP and make any necessary arrangements.

4. Plan the Menu

Now it’s time to start thinking about food! If you’re hosting your event at a restaurant or catering hall, they will likely have their own menu options available. However, if you’re renting out space somewhere like a banquet hall, you may need to find an outside caterer. In either case, be sure to take into account any dietary restrictions or food allergies that guests may have when planning the menu.

5. Choose Your Entertainment

Last but not least, you’ll need to choose your entertainment for the evening. This is where things can really start to get festive! If you have the budget for it, consider hiring a live band or DJ for the evening. Or, if there’s someone in the office with musical talents, see if they would be willing to put together a holiday playlist for the party. Other popular ideas include photo booths, casino tables, and magicians—the sky’s the limit!

With this guide in hand, you should be well on your way to planning the perfect company Christmas party! Just remember to set aside enough time for all of the details, book your venue well in advance, and most importantly—have fun!
